Selected as “Best Practice” by public institutions

MAFF

Our Agrivoltaic solar power initiative was recognized as a best practice by the MAFF. Integrating solar power into agriculture has improved crop quality, and international buyers have praised the initiative for both the produce and its alignment with the SDGs.

Shizuoka Prefecture

Our project was selected for the Open Innovation Business Promotion Initiative by the AOI Forum of Shizuoka Prefecture. We are supported in expanding our Agrivoltaic solar power system combined with shaded Tencha (Matcha) cultivation.

Bringing Japanese Tea Back to the World

After Japan’s isolation ended during the late Edo period in mid 19th century, Japanese tea gained widespread acceptance worldwide. Today, Japanese Tea, Matcha is once again in high demand across the globe. We are building a modern infrastructure for Matcha supply to meet the growing global needs, ushering in a new era for Japanese tea.

Global Expectations

Nutrient-rich matcha has become a modern superfood.

Nutrient-rich matcha has become a modern superfood. Matcha is widely praised for its numerous health benefits, including its antioxidant properties and ability to promote mindfulness. Like wine and coffee, an increasing number of consumers are focusing on quality. To meet these growing demands, we are accelerating implementation of the next-generation Tencha* cultivation systems.

*Tencha: the tea leaves used to make matcha.

Sustainable Agriculture

Balancing environmental responsibility with economic value.

Forward-thinking consumers are looking for more than just organic and pesticide-free high-quality Matcha; they also seek products that support biodiversity and carbon neutrality.

We quickly adapt to these evolving consumer demands and support the development of sustainable, economically viable agriculture that meets these expectations.

Adaptations to Climate Change

The key lies not only in adopting renewable energy but also in taking a comprehensive approach to environmental changes.

In recent years, issues such as heat damage, crop failure, plant stress from heatwaves, and the increased burden on farmwork caused by global warming have become more pronounced.

Our agricultural facilities, which incorporate solar panels, help create optimal growing conditions and protect entire fields. This contributes to promoting sustainable agriculture while addressing these environmental challenges.
